The tranny in my van is getting a little slippery.  I thought I had a replacement but its a 460.  I was looking for a parts truck with a good one, just hadnt got there and was even going to find one and do a refresh if I had to before swapping,,, which is absolutely no problem so to speak,,, (not worried about doing it twice and all that shat) but anyone here got some personal time with them?www.urkafarms.com
Reply:Seems if a guy buys kits I am not sure how if fixes some worn drum in it?   But it looks like a guy could toss a grand at it before he ever cracked a case and a weeks work before I even started to figure it out and I miss so much stuff and really dont want to think it all thru.  I dont have master on staff so to speak at the moment,,, I am waiting for the right guy to stumble along.www.urkafarms.com

Reply:I have worked on a couple others, not all need a true rebuild but only fix the problem.  It almost looks like that might be able to be done here with a bit of concentration, wouldnt need to take every piece apart.  I can see if buying would want to spend up a little and get one from someone with a real qc program.www.urkafarms.com

Reply:I looked at some vids, wow a lot of parts.  If it refreshed with a kit the cost would be ok but if a guy has to buy any major pieces I can see the cost shooting up.   I can see part of my problem, its driving style and modern cars dont like to be eased on, too slow and they slide thru the gears.  They are designed to go 80 and shift like we are in pursuit where they grab in to each gear.  Was fine till I start with it.   A guy has to tune the speed so its not trying to hunt between gears.www.urkafarms.com
