Hello, I have a steel cylinder 4 long 24 OD and 3/16 wall sitting in the shop. I am looking for a piece of plate steel, and if I could get this flattened (essentially unrolled) it would be the perfect piece. What kind of machine shop does this kind of work?

Reply:Ahhh, usually it's the other way around, buy flat and roll it. Just buy a piece of flat plate it will definitely be cheaper and you'll have a ''flat'' piece of plate.

Reply:There's a shop that has a plate roller about 25mi. from me. They can roll it up, or roll it out, IIRC. |
