Looking for some advice as I'm unsure what to prioritize. Sorry in advance for such a long post.I'm going to buy my first welder for hobbyist projects. Things on project list will be: PC case's with 14 gauge sheet metal. Office desk and occasion furniture. I would like to eventually attempt off road/ over landing mods and maybe front bumper. The thickest i plan for currently is stands and mounts for active shooting targets at 1/4" or so.While I will primarily be working with thinner pieces, I want a unit capable of handling thicker metal so I can do it all with one welder. The priority in my mind is choosing the unit that produces the best welds possible.Welder specs:------------------------------------------Firepower FP-200ESAB designedTheir 3yr warranty10 ft. Are the features such as MIG inductance, wire run-in, wire burn-back time missing from primeweld offering? How import are they?2. Does the primeweld have infinite adjustability? Is that important?3. 200A low duty cycle vs 180A not as low duty cycle better? |
