Reply:Any reason you couldn't bring a generator and test it? You aught to be able to test the wire feeder and confirm that it welds CC and CV. You don't need a big generator to test it with. Reply:It now says 125 USD. A wire feed box with external spool, all analog controls, absolutely no details beyond it needs work. One or more components most likely don't work, so running a bead with it is most likely not possible.

Chances are you're either going to be:A - broken welder and wire feeder (both can be sold for parts)B - broken welder OR wire feederC - working welder and wire feeder (but there's probably going to he a catch)If C, be careful. Reply:@52 ford, I think B is possible, if not highly likely. In my area that being listed for very low price, would mean it either didn't work, or the guy didn't know enough about it to test it themselves, and possibly stolen if its in good condition.If your Ok with gambling 125 bucks, if you think fixing it or parting it out might result in a better financial outcome i'd say go for it. I don't know enough about the box itself that i'd be comfortable giving any money for it without knowing more specifics.The price range of 400-1200 bucks these days could get you a much better non-miller box new that is warrantied.
