I have a Miller 225G Plus, older model (late 94'). Was welding and just stopped. Been researching and found a few thing that could have went wrong. I started out finding F1 fuse was blown, changed that then but blew again upon trying to weld again. So I decided to shotgun it due to it being older some newer part wouldn't hurt it. With that being said I replaced the Bridge rectifier, Capacitor, Rheostat, cleaned the slip rings and brushes, did and engine tune. All breakers and plugs have continuity. I've read I may have a short in the excitation but not sure where or what that is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A buddy of mine is helping me with this so he might also post the same. |
