Hi all,I recently bought a YesWelder ct2050 for use around my garage. I'm used to an Everlast 200dv, and hence have multiple tig torches setup for that machine. I tried plugging in those torches, which all have a 50mm Dinse adapter (pictured below). Issue is, the adapters wont fit because there's too much space above the notch. Is this normal for a machine to have such as shallow electrode female plug-in? The 3rd photo shows the ground clamp connector which DOES fit, because as you can see, it's much shorter. Anyone recognise the type of connection in that photo? I'd prefer not to shave down the Dinse adapter if possible. Thanks.

Reply:50mm Dinse has standardized dimensions on normal machines that use them and will usually interchange freely. This is what you get from China. One off copies that don't even interchange with what they copied.Pretty sure you will have to modify something to use it in that machine.Build one adapter and then all the normal ones will fit. Get a 50mm dinse male and modify it then piece of wire to 50mm dinse female and your golden.Last edited by danielplace; 6 Days Ago at 09:36 AM.
Reply:You could modify with hacksaw and file like Daniel place mentioned but if you have gas thread port, this what I did. These come in two thread sizes.  Make sure you get the rite one

Reply:I have a Amico welder and ran into same thing with plugs I ordered from ebay , just needed to grind off the end of the barrel so the locking lugs are the same distance to end as the Amico oem plugsThis is the size that fits - { with a little grinding } https://www.ebay.com/itm/124258180098Last edited by yooper; 6 Days Ago at 08:22 PM.Reason: wrong link for plugs
Reply:My previous pics may have confused some but I know old school weldors used these tig rigs.  I think they where standard on some old Lincolns.That$15 piece of brass threads into yourYES gass port.  Tig torch (17-19 or?) threads into other end thread contact makes ground connection. Lose the dinse. That's what I did after 3 brand new cinkolm tig torches.  This was a used name brand torch hose and is better than three chinkolm hoses. Your local lws should have this. I've bought three online.

Reply:I see a like so I thought I would share a pic of my tig rig for Lincoln next to Alpha tig rigLincoln invertec doesn't have gas solenoid or gas threads so gas goes directly to brass rig and dinse connects to that ring It's a TIG Rig

Reply:I suspect the OP has suitable options.  I brazed a dinse lug to the side of my tig power lug.  My portable tig has no internal plumbing for gas. Keeps it close to the machine minimizes chance of arcing.  Though it will not work with all machine it there is interference.  I like the whip insanerider created.

Reply:Here's ocv to gas threads. It's electrically same as dinse   I've been using this way for two years.  I don't weld as much as all you all but last weak I made a necklace pendant from titanium for my daughter using gas lug for ground. Thanks for the compliment tapwelder.  Member CEP liked it also. May he weld in peace

Reply:The YES is the same way .Doesn't use the Dinse for tig either. You look at factory tig torch it connects to the gas port and 2 pin connector for the switch.
