I have a 1994 miller bobcat 225g that I recently picked up for a deal. Today I did a full tune up on engine, got it running good. Went to attempt to weld and it has nothing. I plugged my grinder into the 110 outlet and it worked fine. I have welded for a few years now but have never actually worked on the machines. Im at a loss at the moment. I will add the machine set for 8 years when I got ahold of it yesterday
Reply:Cound be the fine adjust those had a tendency to burn out when adjusted under load but one of the pros will be around soonDo not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Reply:Can you post a picture of the front of the machine to make sure switches are where they need to be? Have you checked to make sure the switches are working? Checked hz (engine speed) at the 120v plug? Try adjusting the coarse amperage, could be corrosion or dirt in the switch. Try setting the fine amperage rheostat to 100%. If it's like mine I'm pretty sure the 100% position removes the rheostat windings from the circuit.Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power
