Reply:If I was going to buy a cheap Mag drill at this point, I think I would buy this one: https://www.amazon.com/VEVOR-Drill-S...%2C2066&sr=8-9More power, lower and variable RPM, larger bit diameter capacity.---Meltedmetal
Reply:It for any starting in metal work it gets you up and running for low cost . My self I have a B&D 3/4" very heavy duty witch I purchased new but most starting may not have funds for a new Dewalt (old nane Black & Decker). You or I would buy a name brand but we have been doing for a long time.   I've been looking for one - used on F.B. and C.L. for some time - not that it's needed (of course) for any particular project although I could use for a go-kart build now - the price seems "right" - and I'm just a hobby hack - name brands are just out of reach for numerous reasons... sheesh - now I'm going to be thinking about this the ENTIRE Holiday weekend - and end up pulling the trigger after 5 or 6 IPA's.....

A lot of positive reviews for it I'd have to say - from the Amazon website.....of course then I'd have to buy the annular cutter arbour and cutter set for another $140 - I better make that 7 - 8 IPA's.....
Reply:It is a very handy tool.I keep mind in retirement. Dave

Reply:Mind I only use a standard twice drill bits .Never had to cut one,  just chuck and drill. I had to turn a few drill bits my chuck is 3/4" and I need to drill 1-1/16" [27mm] holes. I do not who needs to drill holes 1-1/16" [27mm] holes.  The holes was on a D8 CAT tractor. Dave

Reply:Morse taper is still used on some milling machines. It is a drill not a milling machine. I do not want you are trying to do with a mag drill?Dave
