Biz misses

I had a lot happen this morning ands missed a couple really big deals that I been working on for months.    I am a long shot speculator and when they easy ones slip past cause I am not ready its crushing. Stupid phone panic I could have solved with 5 more minutes and leave someone stranded.   Those are really crushing especially when there is no one to blame it on... hawww.urkafarms.com
Reply:didn't miss out but had major crap drop on me monday. chilled out by tuesday nite realizing all my negativity was rubbing off on everyone else and wouldn't change the situation. wednesday i was picking up eggs at one of my oldest friends and spent 20 minutes venting and feeling better. when i was done i find out his wife's (they've both been lifelong friends of mine) pancreas is shot and they don't know how long she's got. his wife was out on the horse while i was there. she has made arrangements to pick the time and day of her "exit" when things are no longer bearable. and here i was whining about my problems.   dumb f*ck.

Reply:Simple panic and not fixing the phone and miss an important call, everything had been working fine 5 minutes earlier and I actually had time to deal with it all but rished out the door instead of taking 5 more minutes and getting it straight.  Crap like that is really crushing to shoot yourself in the foot.  Its even hard to explain to other people,  but those half a dozen events in a career are so defining and hard to overcome.   Like they say, only once chance to make a good first impression.    I got up off the ground and cost me some gas to take time off and go back to work.  Its the kind of thing no one knows it happens to you.   Just did it all wrong and should have had my secretary to start with this morning, she wanted a little time off while I was on another adventure and seeded some stuff without thinking how fast it would pop and didnt have a contingency and worried over 5 minutes when I had 10 to spare.  Shame is its a mistake similar to one I made before.www.urkafarms.com

Reply:I turn down a job offer recently, as much as I wouldnt mind money up now I can see it was short lived and no way worth it.  New mgmt wants to ramp it up but gonna keep the same old owners/bosses they had,,, ha, the very thing it needs they are not going to change.  I have bit on some losers before, not big in this type of sense but this one I am passing on.  Be3 different in another time and place I could and maybe should clip these guys, they are the kind of gang really deserves it but a lot going in they get to keep for free in some respect if they pay as it goes.  I wanted a lump upfront and they didnt bite.www.urkafarms.com
Reply:I just recently spoke with a coworker whose neighbor was fading fast due to MS.  The opted for assisted suicide in Switzerland.  I did a quick google search and found it .  Seemed expensive to me but that is what they did..
