What do you call a welder...

Okay, I run a small welding and fab shop in SW Florida and I get some interesting calls.  But today I guy calls and he works a donut shop and needs a little welding on a cart. For some reason he needs to tell me he was a Boiler maker.   So I asked why dont you weld it!  So I ask what do you call a welder with no welder?   A customer..   It was kinda funny, prolly caught him off guard.   We'll see if he comes in.We've done so much, for so long, with so little. Were now qualified to do anything with nothing !

Reply:A segment of customers feel the need to tell me they know more about my field of knowledge than I know, Usually they say they don't have the time. Sometimes I offer them a screwdriver. "You need nothing but tools".I get one now & then, "I have a background in electrical engineering, I only need you because I don't have the time." It is easy for those people. I explain that my rates are adjusted for people who don't know how to do it themselves, I'd be wasting your money.
