I’m about to build me a carport and trusses will be made of 3” 14gauge square tubing. I usually would just weld with a 6010 or 6011, but would like to run t11 .045 fluxcore off of my 12vs. If it wasn’t so windy I’d just run .045 solid wire.  I’m also using 3” purlin. I’m sure someone here has done this. Did you like the results?  I ran some test pieces today and I was very impressed.
Reply:I used E71T-1 w/co2 for over 20 years.Today I used since 2018 E71T-11 no gas both work great on 14 gauge steel. Dave
