Reply:two retailer's that used to sell them were Tractor Supply and Rural King. I don't know if they still do, but I remember Rural King having the best prices. You might also want to ask 'fillermetalqueen' on Ebay. She (Amy = Fillermetalqueen) is/works for Blue Demon. If they do have it, it will be "cheaper" to buy 5 or 10lbs at a time just like any other rod. That's a lot of rods, and of course that is just how I rationalize things.

1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig!

Reply:It is a lot of rods. Its a pretty highly skilled operation to use them well. There was a guy named Joe used to be on Hobart had a good take on small rods and I wish I could word it right. I have used relatively small rods and control can be done well. I know there is a thing for 13 but I cant see any advantage over an 18 and the real sheet rod with low current is 6011. It freezes fast. I got to dig up some 11 myself, mine are so old I cant read them. I should carry a few 3/32, there are times its about impossible without them. I really hate that crap, I would spend the money for a feeder if I had to do it. If a guy doesnt have one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, he should. Pay for itself in 1 event or successful salvage job. Should be on the top of every real home survival type,,, waiting on a part to come in the door and having a coffee now. In a few minutes going to walk out and weld something thats got to work. I had a sprout stop by the other day with my cousin and he is a guy at a diverse indy shop and still full of piss but he is nice and I tacked and fit an exhaust and he jusmped in my way to show me he could welder up,,, and he can. There is stuff he dont know about it, I set the machine and had it toasty and dont gotta prove so I jump right out of the way, said if you feel frisky and I didnt have to weld up 4 exhaust joints. It was a repair to a repair and was shot so I change the design a bit and help the welder with a blind spot the first guy had some trouble with.www.urkafarms.com

Reply:Confused my threads. I can say this, when I bought the Maxstar bought a couple boxes of small rods I still have, used 6 rods. They were short lived, I really regressed to the way I been doing it, 1/8 11 and 3/32 lohy. I tried, I really did just am so used to it the other way.www.urkafarms.com |
