Does anybody know of a hand amperage torch that is compatible with the harbor freight protig 205? Im looking for something that is just a button for on/off, no variable amperage, just a simple 2T hand amperage torch, need to get into some awkward positions on my metal boat, thanks for the assistance!!
Reply:I am satisfied with my touch4 from ssc. Needs to be within 33 percent of your max, then you have 4 increment of increase. The movement is almost imperceptible, but not overly sensitive. Not sure it is compatible with your, though it does not list it as a no-go.
Reply:So you're calling it an "amperage switch", but you just want it to be On/Off ~ right? That means you could buy a simple switch (purpose made, Google "Tig Switch") for less than $5 and run the two wires down the cable and connect to the pedal connector on your machine (you'd have to research what 2 pins need to go to it, but that's easy enough I'm sure...)
Reply:Not sure what the connector is on the machine now. One way if your friendly to and handy with minor modifications.

Wire one of these 2 wire jacks to the contactor trigger wires in the machine going to the existing connector.https://www.amazon.com/Aviation-GX16.../dp/B06Y6MQTPDhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/15481063389...Bk9SR8rQ2-_CYALast edited by danielplace; 16 Hours Ago at 11:11 AM.
