It seems like the go-to around the 'nets/shops is to just 'replace power board'.I inspected a Hypertherm Powermax 30 XP for a friend and found that the "TOP247YN" was literally blown up and one of the legs went with it too. I soldered in a new one (everything else looked OK) and it's still not showing any signs of life (no LEDs light up when switched on). Does anyone know what it would take to refurbish theses motherboards?
Reply:You can try here:https://innovatcorp.com/pc_board_repair_price_listBut a few years ago I needed a board for a Powermax 45 and they didn't have it because hypertherm does not release the schematics or something to that effect.  Not sure if that has changed.  I ended up getting a replacement board from hyper but it was like pulling teeth.Miller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221  True Wisdom only comes from Pain.

Reply:If Powermax 30 XP has nothing to do with computer mothers. There are guy repairs old industry board.  But they charge a lot. Odds are it is switch if newer it could a battery most time it is CR2032. If so it could loss programing. If loss programing you find places that will reprogram for $200.00 and up.Dave
