Going to set the drill press up to try the boring head to repair my backhoe swing. I'm hoping the base and column are at a true 90 deg's. to each other. If they aren't what would be more accurate? I can't really make a jig to put on the piece I'm boring. I might use a flap wheel in the chuck to center it but need the DP completely square first. I'm thinking the column would be the most accurate but maybe someone has done this kind of a job with a drill press before? I bolted a couple pieces of tubing with leveling bolts to the base.
