Champion 10000 won't shutoff

Welder works as it should. Kohler ch20 engine starts, runs , idles up and down but wont shut off with ignition switch. Reply:It may be the switch, look at drawing if you have one but I think it shorts it out. I had one on a briggs linc do that a while back.www.urkafarms.com

Is high idle integrated into the off switch? Sounds like you have a multiposition rotary switch or toggle switch. Pop the switch out open it up, douse it in CircuitSafe, LectraMotive, or some other electronics cleaner that has a cool name (the cool name is important). Isopropyl alcohol would work, too.
