What's the best way to pick up a drill press with a lifting strap? I'd like to keep it fairly level and don't know if I should lift it by the table alone. I also don't think it would be the best lifting by the head in case something wanted to come apart. I can lift by the column but it would be at too much angle. Maybe putting a 2x4 between the table and head and then lift by the table? It weighs 300lbs.+.
Reply:The drill press has 1,000 of down pressure for drill bit.I typically pick by head.I also have chain to table to hook for safety. Any photos 📸 of new drill?Dave
