Was originally considering getting a plain stick welder, but now thinking about a multiprocess welder. Of the 3 I listed, what would you choose or have experience with. Its for occasional repairs on my various tractors and implements that I own and collect. I am leaning towards the Hobart because of the price but dont want to buy something and be disappointed with it.
Reply:I would probably go with the Hobart. I am not sure the Millermatic 215 or the Lincoln 210 PM are worth the extra money, they specs are pretty close. Esab has a new 200 amp multiprocess machine out for $1400 at Baker's Gas called the ESAB EMP 210 that you might also want to consider. Finally, this just popped up at Home Depot and the warranty looks really solid. 3 year warranty and return it to any Home Depot if there is an issue. For $550 bucks it might be hard to beat: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Si...51654-23-12140Miller Multimatic 255

Reply:Have a Hobart 210 MVP, runs on 120 or 220. I like it. Have have put it in the bucket on my tractor with a champion generator making gate repairs.Retired Old GuyHobart 210Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 Evolution 14 Saw |
