I have to weld some exhaust baffles and am not concerned with looks or even longevity as they are for temporary use. The perforated tubing is 22 gauge. I have mig'd them in the past but with .035 wire (what I had) and trimix. I have a roll of .025 308 wire but I have no idea what settings to even start with on my mig. I will be using a 210mp Lincoln. Any help to keep me from wasting material trying to get the settings right would be greatly appreciated
Reply:The manufacturer has a chart.Check your manual on Lincoln welder.If do not have a manual goto the Lincoln website. Dave

Reply:Doubling the wire speed from the .035 parameters should get you in the ballpark. Hopefully that small diameter wire feeds ok as SS wire in itself is difficult to feed and then using the small diameter is difficult also.
Reply:I look at Hobart book to help the guy out.It showed the wires about same.Most my welding ix steel very little stainless mainly shaft rebuilding and line boring and set machine without a manual at that hard to do over the internet. Thank you for setting in.Dave
