Hydraulic Lift Table

I just finished making a removable work surface for the hydraulic lift table I bought a while back…

The top is 48”x96”.  I used a 5/8” steel plate crop I had left over from my last welding table build and 3/4” birch plywood good both sides.


It has 36” of vertical travel with a lowered deck height of 12”.

The benefits of a height adjustable work surface should be pretty obvious to those of us over the age of 50.

Reply:that looks really sharp!! I call my HF lift table with 900lb cap. my little helper. I've found lots of different uses for it. The jack eventually started leaking under load so I rigged up a chain and hook in the scissor linkage so I can set the load on the chain to take pressure off the jack. Reply:That is HEAVY DUTY!!!!! I have an electric #450 lift table for my main welding station, and LOVE being able to adjust the height from 26" to 42".(I am DEFINITELY over 50)

Reply:I have limited space, so I use this as a  lift table.. Although a dedicated one like above is real nice too.

Prices on all this stuff is stupid now, and finding anything that works has a lot of value.

Reply:I like your Pneumatic jack, I had airbags on a street rod, we also used big air bags to lift equipment for moving, amazing how a small PSI will lift. Reply:I used that one, but longer handle/ different version.. They work fine but the cones inside stick sometimes, and also the jack can tilt way more than the esco or better quality units. Clunky to use but works.
