Hey fellows, I need a board for my millermatic 211 auto set. Ive had it four years and the board just quit on me. Anyone know where I can find one other than miller?Miller 211Miller Dynasty 210
Reply:I don't believe there are any aftermarket boards out there for the 211's.... you might be able to find a pull on ebay.amz/fb... but it won't be much better than your board was two minutes before it quit
I would pull the board and see if you can find a repair place that will fix it... there are a couple common issues with the 2ng gen 211's that blow a couple components... I'm guessing this is a 2nd gen 211...?
Reply:Yes it is. It was only a month out of warranty when it blew and miller wouldn’t work with me. The board looks really clean doesn’t look like anything is wrong. But they said the board was out and it would cost 700 to repair it. So I thought I would check here.Miller 211Miller Dynasty 210

Reply:Here's a couple pics of the last 211 I had blow... this one took out D45 and D6 diodes... sometimes (most times) it takes out a transistor and maybe a resistor also... but this one didn't....
Reply:Thanks for the info. My father in-law has it now trying to fix it. I will tell him to take pics and I will post them. I never had a problem with this welder until I hooked my aluminum spool gun and in ten minutes it went down.Miller 211Miller Dynasty 210
Reply:hmmmm. don't recall anything about spoolguns causing issues??? mine have not ran spoolguns.. so yours may be something different???Oh, the transistor tor the right and down(from the diodes/in the heatsink) is the one that usually blows( I forget the board number) but it's a to220 case or similar IIRC....
Reply:Curious, where was machine purchased at ?? We had a issue with a first generation Miller XMT 304. It was 6 months out of warranty and our welding supplier repaired it under warranty. Machine was purchased from them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reply:It was purchased at Airgas. They didn’t want to help much. And we spend a lot of money with them. I bought my other two home welders from another weld supply store. They have been more helpful.Miller 211Miller Dynasty 210

Reply:I agree. I won’t buy another welder from them for sure. Luckily we have young’s welding. It’s a smaller family owned shop, they just can’t get low enough on they’re gas bottles for us to use them solely.Miller 211Miller Dynasty 210
Reply:Glad I bought a first generation 211 when they were phasing them out for the 2nd gens. It was $999 with a $200 mail in rebate. Purrs like a kitten.

Reply:I smoked one of those 211's, but it was my fault for not really paying attention to the duty cycle.
