Hi Friends. Picked up this welder for $150. wasn't able to test it beyond turning it on and checking the High frequency. After setting it up with a new torch I found that it won't adjust the amps other than it will fire but the heat is always the same. Both remote and panel controls have the same result. I'm not a electrical wizard but I took off the covers and looked for bad connections, found some bad solder joints and some wires that have the insulation coming off but not broken. I repaired the solder joints thinking that would have fixed it but no luck. Does anyone know if this is a good welder with a known problem and I should dig deeper or is it beyond repair?
