Trailblazer 302 issues

Havent been active here for a while but Ive got an issue I could really use some help with. Made an emergency purchasing error that Im now basically trying to rectify. Got some recommendations on a facebook group figured id ask here too. My trailblazer, bought used, welded real smooth tested up to about 180amps, and like a dumbass I never checked the outlets. Couple problems cropped up and I cant get ahold of the guy now. One set of 120outlets workHalf of the 240Bogs out over about 120amps (didnt do that when I tan a test weld)Maxes out at about 195ampsChecked for voltage from both coils - 125v for bothChecked for continuity between the slip rings and the armature - noneChecked for continuity between rings, armature, and windings to chassis ground - none (unplugged every wire and checked through them to ground)Checked plug gap and gapped to .030Checked fuel solenoid - opened fullyChecked rpms with frequency - 3730ish and about 62.5hz no loadChecked valves and pushrods - smooth and freeHave 125v at both coils, which travels all the way through all of the breakers and outlets. Wasnt finding a neutral connection for one of them. Looking at the wiring schematics, there are jumpers at the bus bar between e-b and d-c-b. I couldnt find those jumpers. Since there was no short as best I can tell I made a fused jumper and connected e-b and d-c-b and ran it. All of the plugs started working. All four 120 outlets have good power and the 240outlet ran my millermatic. It still will only reach 195amps though. Checked with the onboard meter as well as a clamp meter on the cables. Runs 5/32 7018 real smooth just wont get higher then 195. Still going to rig a gravity can to bypass the tank and pump to see if its a fuel issue. The plugs looked a tad lean. Also need to check carb adjustment still.Anyone have any ideas? Is there something Im missing or not checking? Not checking properly? Thank you. I really dont have the tome or money to take it into a shop right now.




Reply:I also cleaned the slip rings with a stone. Brushes look ok to me but theyre cheap enough I may just replace them anyways. Never seated brushes before so Ill have to figure that out.
Reply:Check all the mounting bolts and connections on the reactor coil. I had one loosen up and gave me fits.
