Wire size for sa200

Want to rewire a sa200 I have. What size wire is correct?
Reply:That would depend on which part of the SA200 you're talking about.Engine:Battery cables - 4ga. (minimum)Controls - 14ga.Alternator/Generator-to-ammeter-to-battery - 10ga. (minimum)Welder:Control circuits - 14ga. Reply:Yeah. The 78 that I'm trying to fix up is a wiring mess. Ugly plastic wire loom and zip ties all over the place. I got a headache looking at it so I just ripped it all out and I'm gonna start over.

Reply:@duaneb55 -- Can you elaborate on what you would call the controls? I am assuming you mean idler switch, start switch, etc for the Engine but what about the Control Circuits for the  welder.~Thanks
Reply:Engine "controls" would be start and mag kill (ignition) circuit, oil pressure switch and related circuits including the idler solenoid.  Alternator output to ammeter to starter - 10ga.Welder "controls" would be exciter circuit, main shunt coils, auxiliary power receptacle and rheostat.I mistakenly indicated that original wiring was 14ga. when in fact I'm sure it was 16ga.  As such, that or 14ga. is acceptable for the welder controls if you choose to use that size.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110

Reply:I am converting my 69 Lincoln redface too a distributer from a magneto. The directions with the kit did not specify what gauge wiring is used too power the coil or where the coil is supposed too be wired too as far a as a power source. If anyone has any advise on either of those things I would greatly appreciate it!
