I have a 255 Wirematic. It has always kind of run like crap and maybe it needed a new liner but wonder if the gun itself is adding to its issues. I was trying to gob a whole bunch of overhead on junk and usually do pretty well, wondering what I am not seeing right. But this fugger has always been finicky and never runs the same twice and sometimes outright impossible to adjust, spose I could go over to the bench and dial it in better but the diffuser stripped out during a gob up. Brand X here is a guy who tried them bout all,,, I dont have a golden arm, just need it to work and wouldnt mind using the bag of tips I just bought. Its got a Magnum 250L on it.www.urkafarms.com
Reply:If money is no object, I would buy a Bernard BTB gun with center fire consumables. https://bakersgas.com/collections/mi...b-configuratorIf you want a good gun, on the cheap, the stuff from HTP is high quality. I am a huge fan of their flex-neck guns. For $163 its hard to go wrong https://usaweld.com/collections/LINC...C_255_HTP_FlexMiller Multimatic 255
Reply:Breaking news! Further update. I still need a new gun assembly but I stake punched the diffuser in the stripped out gun and managed to get it back together. I got about 2 ft of up under overhead crack to fill on old stuff, its worth a little effort to get it stripped together then run over top with a gob would be fine.www.urkafarms.com |
