Is the Grey tungsten ok for aluminum or is there a better choice?
Reply:I use blue 2% lanthanated for both steel and aluminum. I’m not a professional welder so it simplifies my inventory and works as well as my aluminum skills.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com
Reply:Gray is 2% Ceriated, right? If so, then it should be fine for both AC and DCEN.

Reply:As stated the grey or blue will work just fine, just remember if you are pushing the limits (amps) for a given tungsten diameter then it may be better to move up the the next size (dia.) tungsten RichardWest coast of Florida

Reply:Thank you for all the information. I am using a 3/32 grey. My first time welding on aluminum practicing pushing a puddle right now and laying some beads, I need to post up some pics to make sure I am on the right track with what I am doing.
