There's a sae300 near me and I'm tempted to buy it, can anyone tell me anything about it? The ad says it's a 1945 but I have no idea if it is. What would be an appropriate amount to pay for it? I've wanted a sa200 redface or shorthood for a long time but there's not many around here.

Reply:It appears to have a hand crank start,,my BIL had a hand crank silage chopper with a hand crank engine.I loved starting that engine when I was 10 years old,, that was like magic to me,,The engine had to be restarted each load of silage, as he only had one, small silage wagon at the time,,Luckily, we only ran it during warm weather,,how will you start it on a cold, high humidity morning with only hand crank??
