I'm building a skid for my machine/compressor/O/A, etc... I'm a part timer at best, and though a dedicated rig would be cool, I don't need one at this point. I do have some corral jobs coming up this spring, and possibly a bit of fence, and always have oddball repair calls, so I'd like to get things lined out in my free time now, so I'm not trying to strap down all my stuff in my pickup when I need to be mobile - just too inefficient... Anyway, I'm just in the process of laying things out to decide how to set this skid up. I THINK I've attached a picture of the general layout of the equipment that the skid will be designed around. I'd almost always want to have O/A with me, but may at times want propane (instead of Acetylene), C25, Argon so I was just hoping to have a cylinder storage spot on the skid, and could build it to just strap the cylinders to the frame of the skid. The pictures should show where it would be easiest to put cylinders, my question is; are they too close (about 8-9") to the back of my ranger?? Looks like all the heat is vented out the back of the machine, Do I need to figure out how to get the cylinders elsewhere?? Thoughts/opinions/ideas?? Thanks!!

Reply:I see how old this thread is. Just wondering if you ever built this skid and what you decided to do with the cylinders?"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!
