miller maxstar 150 sth problem

maxstar 150 sth will power up then after 5-10 seconds you can hear a loud click (argon solenoid i guess) then blue light flashes continuously and no weld output. I pulled the 2 big capacitors and they checked ok with ohm meter. any ideas? or anyone run into the same problem?
Reply:Is the machine still under factory warranty? The click may be the argon solenoid, I usually only hear mine at the end of post flow. I'd eliminate the really obvious scenarios first...On edit:  Do you have a manual handy?  If not, go to the Miller site. Flashing blue light w/ no output could be a remote trigger setting, too high/low line voltage. Reply:not under warranty..it was sitting in the corner of the shop gathering dust and the boss said i could have it. I downloaded the manual. It is the solenoid that clicks.I checked line voltage..tried it on 120 and 240. did the factory reset but no joy.

Check to make sure line voltage is within 10%.Check the following plug connections and make sure they are secure: PLG1, PLG4, PLG9, and PLG10Replace Wind Tunnel circuit board PC1Replace Front Panel circuit board PC2Flashing blue light at power up is never good. If it is 3 flashes Then the remote control has been left on.4 flashes  is a communication problem between the two pcbs.See  your pm

Reply:after checking diodes at the test points on the board it appears it may be the output diode bad.When i get time i will pull it and check it out of circuit. I will let yall know the outcome.

Reply:I've got an stl.   I got mine in 08 I think.   Mine started that blinking light no output bit in stick mode only.   After the machine would warm up, then as soon as you tried to strike an arc, it would make a tiny little arc for haf a second, then blue light blinks and no output.   You could then turn machine off and back on, do one weld fine, but likely the second weld would be a repeat of the light no output.   So I called miller, the admitted there was a screw up on main gircuit board.   They sent me a little bs capacitor w/ directions on how to ad and install machine.   I told them I never received the part, possibly the neighbors dog that takes my newspaper may have taken the ups delivry also.   Miller agreed to put in a new board w/o much of a fight to convince them to do so.  Its still working today.   Although I'd give it a rating as "poor" when it comes to stick welding.  And I'd give it a D- as for hotstart when trying to start an arc.   And maybe a D+ as far as puddle slag control.   It tigs thin stainless good for me though.
