Millermatic 255 issues

Hello all, new here to this forum. I’m having trouble with a new(ish) Miller 255. It is constantly fouling contact tips on striking an arc, especially when it is set for 1/8 inch material or less, doesn’t seem to matter if I’m using the pulse feature or not and will do it regularly at all temperature settings. I’m tired of changing tips 2 or 3 times a day. I am open to suggestions, the best answer I’ve gotten from my local dealer is “I don’t know what to tell ya “🤔  I’ve been a blue fan since starting in 1989 but this machine and follow up service has got me wondering if a different color might be the answer
