Hello I'm looking for any info about troubleshooting and repairing a chicago electric dual mig 151 welder. I bought it for 25$, knew it didn't work. When I hooked it up to 220 the power switch lit up but nothing else. I'd like to fix it, I bought it cause I figured I could fix it and learn how to weld (I'm brand new to welding) the manual I got off the net sucks, so if that's your answer, I've already gone that route with no success. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Inspecting it visually I think someone has already fooled around with it so pictures of the inside would be very useful as wellThank you
Reply:A photo would help.Odds are it the relay it is a weak point. The 170 looks like the update and mine I upgrade the relay to a mag starter. Dave
