Help!! I need the wiring diagram for the starter on off & push button starter circuit on my 1959 code 4150 SA-200. All the wiring and the switches/starter buttons had been cut out by a vandal trying to start it. I have looked everywhere for a factory wiring and switch location on it. I am putting this back together because it was my fathers welder and he really loved the welder alot.my Dad worked on the Alaska pipe line when I was a small kid. That is where he first used a SA-200, then in 1980 he bought it for $600 from my friends father. Dad was offered good money several times (including from the guy he bought it from) but refused to sell. Now he is gone and I have been trying to get it running again after it was stolen

and then returned to me

.Now I have it back and will make the time to fix it up. I need to do some welding on pipe gates and hopefully it will do the job I need to do!
Reply:The two late 60's Redfaces I had were pretty simple. Starter push button was hot off the battery terminal at the starter and the ignition switch just grounded the magneto to stop the engine. They were both hand crankers to begin with so they had no generator wiring, I charged the batteries from the truck. |
