Considering getting a more advanced OBD-2 scanner. Current scanner has served me well, but as newer vehicles has gotten more advanced, even repairing brakes means tapping into the ECU to deactivate the electronically controlled parking brake. Local Toyota Stealership quoted $1200 to replace rear pads & bleed system. In reading the Toyota forums, both the Innova 5610 and Zurich ZR15S appear to have the functionality to allow me to deactivate the rear brakes to replace pads & bleed the system (if I'm wrong on this, please let me know). If anyone here has any knowledge or opinion on either of these scanners, would appreciate your thoughts. And if you know of an alternative scanner make/model that provides similar function, let me know that, too.Thanks,Dave66=================Millermatic 211 (Transformer Based)Primeweld TIG 225X

Reply:Last week I was looking at the 5610 at oreillys. Ironically, i purchased a bosch 1150 from them about 5 yrs ago.  It was near 300 bucks.  Now they cost 100. The 1150 has served me well, not sure I would really need anything more for personal needs.  However, the 5610 looks enticing .I would leave mine attached in my van and monitor fuel trims.  Worthy investment for anybody maintaining their own vehicles. The 1150 is good for 2000 to 2013 vehicles.Last edited by tapwelder; 10 Hours Ago at 04:54 PM.
