I am looking at buying my first SA. I was looking for a SA250 and came across one that's $4400 (1999 Lincoln SA250). The condition is unknown and has been setting for awhile. Is $4400 a good deal for something that is unknown? It's a long drive from drive for me to go check it out, every SA250 I've came across is $5000+. This is my first engine welder purchase. I'm willing to take the risk of the unknown if it's a good deal. I don't have anyone close to me that knows anything about welders. I hope someone can guide me or let me know what price I should be looking for.Thank you
Reply:Only my opinion and you know everybody has one. I think 4400 is a dang good number for a running, welding, fair hour machine. To risk it, im not sure at that number risk is worth reward. Alot of what ifs come into mind. Can you make the drive and bring leads and some pups or scrap to burn? It might be worth going to check out, how far is it from you?
