I have a Thermal Arc TA-10/270-HE engine driven welder. I am an amateur/home owner who learned to weld last year and love it. I don't have great power options at my house, so I picked up this machine a couple months ago. It came with a Miller S-32P suitcase so I can stick and mig weld right now. Engine runs well and so far welds pretty good. The front panel has a switch for tig lift start, so I picked up a CK tig torch to do some tig welding. It's a two-piece torch with manual gas valve. I didn't really pay attention when I got the machine, but noticed yesterday it has a 14-pin connector. Based on the panel, it appears it could remotely control the amps with a pedal. Does anyone have experience using a pedal with this or similar machine? Curious what make/model pedal would work.ThanksNick

Reply:I used to have one. I believe all the TA stuff was miller compatible. Plus you have 3 phase power generator at 460vac with that machine.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:Generally a 1k pot on the Millers, and 5k in the Thermal-arcs ft control.. Never really made a difference in the digital inverters I have used.. Might be with the analog machine?I would probably just stick with 5k pot ft control on that one. Although if you had a 14 pin Miller pedal, I would give it a go..Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i
Reply:SSC can supply a foot pedal just give them a call.
Reply:Thanks guys. I went to the site and it looks like the C81-1425 has the 14-pin connector that matches mine. I'm going to call to confirm.https://www.ssccontrols.com/tig-cross-reference-guide/ |
