Is a scribe setting in the works for the Powermax 65?
Reply:Hypertherm updates its plasma cutting systems periodically. Recently we introduced the Powermax45 XP to replace the original Powermax45 that had been in production for over 10 years (it was still the best selling plasma cutter in its class with over 105,000 sold). The Powermax65 by comparison has been in production for 6 years......so, by that standard I would guess that it will be updated sometime in the next 3 to 5 years.The marking process requires a power supply that can output stable DC power in the 10 to 15 amp range. The current Powermax65 (and 85) would need a completely redesigned power supply in order to do that.Jim Colt    Hypertherm
