Reply:The Powermax1000 was discontinued 6 1/2 years ago in favor of the Powermax65, which is the current 65 amp product. The Powermax65 has a list price of $3250.00.Mechanic is correct that the newest 45 Amp Powermax45 XP has very similar cut capacities as compared to the Powermax1000, with a list price of $2270.00. You can find lower prices online, so I would agree that the price of $1500 for a Powermax1000 may be pushing it a bit unless it was immaculate. All parts are available for the Powermax1000, and I usually see well used 1000's in the $1200 range.   Jim Colt   Hypertherm
