Hobart 250 Ci Board repair?

I have a hobart 250ci that will not power up.  I have gon through Hobart customer sevice, and they recomend a new board.  The price of a new board is around $800.  I would like to have this board rebuilt or repaired.  I sent it off for a free estimate and they came beck with a repair of $600.  The board was made by miller.  Could someone recomend anyone to fix this board?  Thank You, Rob
Reply:what is the unit doing?  any led's on at all ?   front or inside on the pc board,  they are near impossible to repair,  I've fixed two out of about 10,  I'm looking for a schematic for this little jewel,  they are popular but miller won't release the prints.
Reply:Resurrecting an old thread.I have the same model and same dead unit.  No lights, no clicks, no fan or compressor.  Dead.Power cord, switch, and filter are all good.  Getting power to the three lugs on the terminal strip under the fan as well as the lug on the back of the PCB.Replaced the main bridge rectifier, AC thermistor and checked both main filter caps, no change.I get 110VAC at the input leg of the thermistor but only 10VAC at the output, so the bridge isn't getting any power to it.  The relay that is in parallel is also tested good and functioning properly (I used a 9v battery to click it on and off & test the contacts)Multimeter is showing a hard short off the + and - pads of the bridge PCB when the bridge is out of circuit, so I'm guessing something downstream is shorting?Miller released the schematics as the early Rev board is no longer in production and not being sold as a spare part.  If anyone wants schematic to help fix, I can forward it.Would like to get this little monkey running as the portability is handy!Thanks
