Hello, I have a Miller Legend AEAD-200 LE and it is having a problem idling up. Also after a couple minutes it will just die. I thought at first it may be the Throttle Solenoid but that seems to be working fine. Any recommendations would be great thank you.
Reply:What motor do you have in it ? Some  Common issues are :1)   Water in fuel tank/carb. 2)    Clogged fuel filter3)    Bad fuel pump4)     Faulty ignition, especially Points/condenser5)     Bad vacuum line on pulse fuel pumpsDoes it run better at high speed, weld setting continuous , or with choke pulled out ?More info would help, and maybe even pictures. Best of luck.Airco 250 ac/dc Heliwelder Square waveMiller Synchrowave 180 sdMiller Econo Twin HFLincoln 210 MPDayton 225 ac/dcVictor torchesSnap-On YA-212Lotos Cut60D
Reply:Does the solenoid pull in when you flip the switch to weld mode?   When the switch is in the power mode does it run? Since it takes a few minutes to shut down I would guess that the issue is fuel.  Bad fuel, dirty fuel filter, bad fuel pump, bad fuel lines (cracked line to the fuel pump vacuum side could keep it from working.)   Of course a dirty carburetor could be the problem, I had to use torch tip cleaners to carefully clean mine. Some of the holes are tiny.  Another thing to check is the oil level, I think most of not all the aead welders had low oil shut off sensors. And don't forget to check the sensor itself.Where are you located? I wouldn't mind helping if you're near me.Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power
