Where to plug remote socket when wire welding????

I have a Tweco 211i.  It's been awhile since I used wire in it.  When I'm welding with wire such as NR-211, isn't the remote plug on the MIG gun supposed to be plugged into the remote control socket?  Can somebody tell me HOW to plug it in?  There are only two pins in it, and there are 8 holes in the socket.
