Hi guys. First time post here. I have a Miller Digital Elite helmet and I saw this product online and wanted to know if anyone has installed and used it before. I definitely could use one of these as my garage doesn't have a lot of lighting and my eyes are pretty tired. I am using a harbor freight work light most of the time but its a pain to drag around and setup. It looks like it mounts into lots of different helmets. Thanks for any information.
Reply:Interesting light. The slow pace of the videos drove me mad. The light is 1/2 the cost of my hood, so a little spendy for me. Likewise, old tired eyes. See this approach using a headlamp modified to velcro to top looks doable for less money: https://weldtalk.hobartwelders.com/f...elding-helmets I think I'd want 300 lumens or so. For the Illumi I like the chin placement and easy on/off knob but not enough for my hobby work budget. Right now I am using a aluminum reflector flood lamp with 100w bulb, about $8 at HF. |
