I would like to get a pedal for my Miller Dialarc machine. They seem to be hard to come by for the older welders. My question is, would I be able to use a pedal from another machine to work with the Miller? Does the pedal just measure resistance? There are only 3 conductors for the connection. I have some background in electronics so fabricating something to work would be no problem. I just hate to spend as much as my machine cost just on a foot pedal. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
