The factory I work at in Langhorne, PA is currently looking for a few welders. It's production welding of stainless steel exhaust systems. They are advertising it as $12.50- 15.50/hour. I have been there about 3 months, and as my first welding job its not too bad. 6 months temp to hire. I get badgered for overtime everyday, so I think they are looking for people long term. They have 9 booths open. The company is Eastern Catalytic. The shop is located at the Oxford Valley exit of Rte. 1. You can also check on Indeed.com for details. Or you could call up Aerotek in Horsham. They are the temp agency to go through. Sorry I don't have any numbers right now. PM with any questions.Matt
Reply:From what I understand they often hire grads out of the tech schools in the area. I bet in a few few weeks they'll be filled up again as soon as school ends for this year.I'll be honest, I haven't heard a lot of great things about that place. From what I understand turn over is fairly high, and working conditions aren't the greatest. Since they take in a lot of kids from the tech school as soon as they graduate, there isn't a great need to do a lot to keep employees. They know they'll have a fresh batch of new hires to fill spots when people leave. It's a place to get a starting job and build your resume before moving on to some place better.Maybe it's changed. I haven't talked to anyone about that place in a bit over a year and a half since the day school instructor I knew retired..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
