I'm looking to build a continuous 316 stainless handrail for a never-ending residential deck project. The stairs are single story with a midpoint landing and 90-degree change of direction. The project is under IBC code and the handrail should be around 1.5" in diameter. I'd appreciate recommendations on tube/pipe size and wall thickness that will also have availability of elbows. Is 16ga adequate? I'm also looking for a source as my steel supplier doesn't stock stainless tube or pipe. ThanksLast edited by denverguy; 07-01-2021 at 01:26 PM.
Reply:16 gauge tubing would be good, dont know of any suppliers but its going to be pricy.It seemed like a good idea at the time!
