Looking for them in the welding pliers. My pair from homedepot is wearing out, I think there Lincoln electric
Reply:I have a lot of knipex tools and I have never seen a dedicated welding pair of pliers from knipex. What I can tell you is that their larger needle nose pliers worked great as welper pliers. You can cut Mig wire, clean the nozzles, and remove tips.

Reply:Sure, just about any pair of combination needle nose work great. They have cutting, two size gripping, and the needles for clearing out the nozzle. I got my first pair of welders helpers as a gift this year from my son. I have been using a half broken set of needle nose pliers for the last 25 years.

Reply:Some of the "Brand Name" tools that fall outside the Brand"s line of expertise don't have much to do with the Brand. They license the use of their name to other manufacturers as a sales gimmick for the ones actually making the product.---Meltedmetal

Reply:Those Snap-on pipe wrenches look suspiciously like Rigid pipe wrenches. At least it’s a good pipe wrench. The “Snap-on” drop light I got from Ace hardware (piece of crap)broke after a few weeks. I don’t know if it was unauthorized use of the brand name and logo or not but when I askedSnappy to warranty it he laughed at me.Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite

Reply:I'm trying to get the knipex 13 92. But the say dont cut steel, they look just like the ones in post 4 the 13 96 which I dont think they say that on the handle. The handle is little more bulky on the 96 so that's why I was thinking get the 92's. I'm curious if the 96 cuts like the 92?

Reply:I have a pair of Channel lock welding pliers I got before the Japanese made Welpers and I have the opposite experience with them. They don’t cut the wire off all the way and the wire just hangs and stays connected. Bad cutters IMO. I’d go with Welpers as they are cheap enough and you get a great cut on the wire every time. My 2 cents. Heck get two pairs so you always have a back up in cas they walk away or get momentarily misplaced.Lincoln, ESAB, Thermal Dynamics, Victor, Miller, Dewalt, Makita, Kalamzoo. Reply:Ok. I was thinking I'd be alot happier with spring loaded pliers and those look like about it from them that will work for cleaning a cup out. I was thinking the needle nose they sell have rounded jaws on the outside and squared off would be better. I may call them tomorrow if they have a customer service line and try and figure out the best pliers from them for mig welding, the ones in post 4 would be perfect but not sure if they can handle.035 wire

Reply:Going to try these. Right of the Bat it has a small extremely weak spring. I'm going to get the Japanese ones also. They have them on the way to work at the welding shop
