rear bumper tire carrier ?

looking for plans to build a swing out tire mount for my 80 blazer....photos would be good to..... thank,s...
Reply:are you looking for something that mounts to the hub only or sorta cradles the tire??
Reply:hub mount... but could go ether way...would like to take  an old step bumper and  put a swing out on the right side.... put some bracket,s for a hi liftjack and mabey a jerry can also...but i think it might swing out to far....thinkng that i might build a (driveway gate) type set up.........

Reply:Something like this?  That's a hawse fairlead for a rear winch that is normally mounted in the rear (on bench for rebuild) and the right spindle is currently be fitted with another swingarm.

Reply:Hey Scott.Usually just around here in NJ.  Some at the Water Gap mostly.  Don't have the time to get out for much else and usually end up going solo since no one else around wants to do it.  My real passion is mountaineering, so I get some practice for those trips.  You head up north at all for any in ME or NH?  I've spent a few winter days and nights on Washington, but not really with the tools.

Reply:Junk,I have a condo in Jackson NH. I go climb Washington every November and usually do a few other peaks throughout the winter.
