Reply:Didn't work. But I have to type more words.
Reply:Nope.  It went somewhere, Jim but just a blank page.
Reply:I'm lost! One of you computer whize's please help me

Reply:Well Shade at least you have maintained your humility- we like our heros humble. "All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing"
Reply:Cutter:I scanned it , and saved it as an "HTML", cause that's what the download thing said the webb sight would accept.I also have it as a "Word document"
Reply:Okay Jim,I consulted with my online advisor about it.  She says if you have it as a Word document then you can open it, copy & paste it in just like a regular post.  Of course, you may have to post it in several pieces because of the character limit.  So maybe try it one page at a time.
Reply:I can't to highlite the text??. Maybe I'll try to post it as a picture.
Reply:Jim, can't you just hold down your left button and drag your cursor to highlite it?  Or try right clicking & click "select all", right click again & select "copy"?  Then paste it in and proof it, deleting anything that shouldn't be there before submitting.  I know that may sound easier than it is but any other way of doing this is probably gonna have a learning curve.
Reply:he scanned it in Cutter, it's an image so he can't hilight anything.what he needs to do is attach it like he would an image, Jim you might have to convert it to an image format usable by the board if it's not already.
Reply:Hmmm, I thought you could copy a Word document?
Reply:Try to highlight the text and hit Ctrl-C (nothing visible will happen).  Then come to the text box where you're typing in your post here, and hit Ctrl-V.  This is how you can cut and paste from any one application to any other.  I don't think it will properly display pictures, only the text portions.Proud to be a UNION worker.  Better pay, better benefits, better work environment.  UA Unions = working for the working class!!
Reply:Jim; It will be easier to tell you where to look for help than explain it-if I could. Try this. Click on "Help" at the top of your home page and search for "HTML". The program will show instructions about photos, etc. and how to make them work.Even better, I think. Re-scan the article and save it as a JPG file. I think your scanner should have that option. Do you have a photo editor software program? Your scanner should have several file formats. If it doesn't have JPG, it should have one that the photo editor will accept and then you can size it to work on this site and save it as a JPG.
Reply:Jim; This is a test.  If it works, open the HTML file and copy it, select all-copy, and open WORD and paste it. Save as a Word document and then insert it in your reply. Attached Filessenior member.doc (56.0 KB, 91 views)
Reply:Well, it worked for me.  I copied the top two posts on this page as a HTML file to my computer. Then copied it and pasted it to Word, saved it and then copied it to this site.
Reply:If the article was saved as an image in a word document you might be able to attach the whole document to the post.  If you have OCR software and it is saved as text, you could copy and paste the text.  You might need to scan the file again and save it as a .jpg file, then you could attach it directly to the post.
Reply:Maybe Franz can cook up a secret recipe for this as apparently it's going to take longer to see this pic than for cutter to get that vise working
