Well I was wanting to know how I go about learning how to weld. I don't know a thing about it really. I just got my first truck and need to weld on my new exhaust and don't want to have to pay someone else to do it, so I would like to learn myself so I could do it. So if anyone could point me in the right direction to learning I would be greatly appreciative of you.
Reply:Lithium do you have access to any equipment like a mig welder? If you are doing work like on your truck exhaust and or body type stuff and just general welding to get the feel of things I suggest a 110 mig welding unit. You will be able to learn a lot from that. Some of the name brands like Lincoln sell them with an instruction video and I'm sure it will help. Then it's a "Learn as you Burn" and keep the questions coming...........hope this helps bro.....
Reply:I will after this summer Im gonna take a welding class at my school. So hopefully that will help. I also think my dad would let me use his MIG at work to learn with over the summer.
Reply:there ya go buddy. If you sleeve the exhaust tubes together and use a clamp you can thro a couple of tacks on there too. It doesn't have to be welded solid......
Reply:Aight thnx for the advice bro, ill give that a shot. |
