Hello,In my shop, I have a piece of 4" I-beam running across the top to use as a lift beam for small items like lawnmowers. I purchased a 1-ton chain-lift this past weekend to use on it. However, the lift "hangs" using a large hook on the end of a short chain. My problem is, I would like to be able to slide the lift along the beam so that it could be used whever I need it. My question is, is there a device already out there that will let me do this? If not, any suggestions on how to make something that would let me do this would be appreciated.I have recently purchased a Lincoln Pro Mig 135 welder. I have an uncle with 30+ years of welding experience that will come and help me if I ask. I would like to have my plans ready before I bother him, however. Thanks!Chad
