I went to a sale today and bought a Linde 235 welder, ($80) I know the Linde name is an old one for welding. I don't know about their stick welders though, the cables are in good shape and the cabinet looks pretty good for an old machine, and it weighs quite a bit. Has anyone out there had one of these welders and what was your expierence with it?
Reply:For $80.00 bucks it sounds like you made a great find...does it run? I have a HDA-300 and I just love it...
Reply:I talked to the guy who was selling it, he said it worked great, but the cooling fan makes funny noises sometimes. I haven't tried it yet, I only have a 30amp breaker in my garage, so will take it to the shop at work this weekend to give it a try out
Reply:Is it for Sale?.....Let me know what ya find out.....

Reply:Welding cables would cost you that much or more.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:I got the welder fired up yesterday, the good part is that it works,I didn't weld very much, the cooling fan wasn't working at all.I found on the welder where it is a model 230 not a 235. I measured the cables they are only 50ft long each. I think it will be a keeper. |
